Three case reports published on Jan. 7 dealt with disorders of the liver, including cirrhosis caused by nilotinib in a 72-year-old man with chronic myelogenous leukemia, hepatic chylothorax in a 73-year-old man with undiagnosed cirrhosis, and tirzepatide-induced hepatitis in a woman in her 30s. Another case report published on Jan. 7 discussed cholangitis caused by metallic staple migration after cholecystectomy, while two case reports published on Dec. 17, 2024, described emphysematous gastritis and portal venous gas in an 82-year-old woman and perinephric abscess secondary to postendoscopic retroperitoneal cholangiopancreatography duodenal perforation in a 35-year-old woman.
