Case of a primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor

A case report in a patient with tuberous sclerosis may be unique in the literature, the authors said.

A case of a primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor in a patient with tuberous sclerosis was published on May 7 by Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases.

The authors believe the case to be unique in the literature. A 23-year-old woman with tuberous sclerosis presented with an enlarging liver mass. Biopsy specimen pathology was consistent with a neuroendocrine tumor. She underwent chemotherapy and resection.
