Introducing ACP Gastroenterology Monthly

Welcome to the first issue of ACP Gastroenterology Monthly, a new free monthly e-newsletter from the American College of Physicians, designed to inform primary care physicians of the current literature in gastroenterology/hepatology.

Each issue of ACP Gastroenterology Monthly will summarize relevant gastroenterology and hepatology research published in the past month. In addition, it will include a Test Yourself section with a question from ACP's Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MKSAP); summaries of articles from Annals of Internal Medicine, including ACP Journal Club; and information on FDA recalls, approvals, and warnings.

ACP Gastroenterology Monthly is written by ACP staff, and Minhhuyen T. Nguyen, MD, serves as physician editorial advisor. Dr. Nguyen is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and an ACP Member. She is associate professor of clinical medicine and director of clinical gastroenterology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia and a graduate of the University of Chicago and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Nguyen did her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and her fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at New England Medical Center Hospitals. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. A three-member advisory board will also be announced soon.
