Two hepatologists from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and University of Michigan Medical Center recently offered differing opinions on screening for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and managing patients with the condition.

The discussion was published on Aug. 6 by Annals of Internal Medicine as part of the journal's “Beyond the Guidelines” feature. The article, which includes print, video, and educational components, was based on the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds conference held at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on March 14.
