Case reports published on gastroenterology, hepatology topics

Reports on spontaneous hepatic artery thrombosis, refractory celiac disease type II, and melanoma of the GI tract were published this month by Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases, a new journal co-published by ACP and the American Heart Association.

Several case reports on gastroenterology and hepatology topics were published this month by Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases.

One case report explored an incidental finding of spontaneous hepatic artery thrombosis in a healthy patient. Another reported on a case of refractory celiac disease type II that transformed into enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis as the presenting syndrome. The third examined a case of secondary malignant melanoma of the GI tract. All were published on March 15.
